Ginger tea you are so right.  The travel capsule will never be perfect.  I keep a journal just for my travel capsules and make notes.  Mr. SF finds this amusing but is beginning to see my wisdom.  My packing is improving every trip.  We both love Yoga and plan our trips around Yoga.  Montreal is a great city for Yoga.  So is St. Augustine Florida. Carla my Yoga clothes are separate from my other clothes.  I do Yoga every day so I do need a reasonable number of Yoga outfits.  Plus a Yoga mat.  We actually took 2 Yoga mats each this trip (that is 4 Yoga mats).  I also have a bag for my Yoga clothes.  Maybe for Florida I will post that part of the capsule as well. Carter thank you so much for posting my original post.  At this point we are doing this travel schedule but I am not sure for how much longer.  The driving is very tiring. Zoiechic I have heard so many good things about Asheville.  I am really looking forward to going there. El Cee I will be posting my Florida travel capsule.  Montreal is a great city.  We love it there. Tanya I agree that footwear and outwear are so important when travelling.  That part of the capsule can make the trip more comfortable.  I will keep this in mind for next year. Sara I agree that travelling to cold temps is harder because it requires more packing.  Coats take up more room.  And dogs take up a lot of room too!!! Yes Angie a new and bigger car would be great for more coats!  And I certainly would not want to run out of dog food. Suz those are great sources for footwear.  I might check them out.  I am willing to pay the prices if they are comfortable and are warm.  Milkshake I don't know what I would replace the J Crew Ts with at this point.  I really like the Marks Brown T I just bought but it doesn't come in any other colours I like.  I was surprised I liked the Marks so much because Marks is usually too big in the torso and too short in the arms for me.  This one is too short in the arms but works well otherwise. It is normal to have a few extra items and a few that just don't feel as fab as one might wish.  Re the boots, I absolutely hear you. My source for this type of footwear is La Canadienne and Aquatalia, but the price tag is an obstacle, and even with the few pair I already have I could definitely use several more nice looking but weather worthy boots in my capsule. Making sure all my outfits work with the one or two coats I plan on taking (can't take more than that since they're usually so bulky) is always difficult for me.  I usually start planning around shoes and then get stuck on the coats and have to start over. Interesting analysis of your capsule. I understand what you mean about the importance of having boots that are warm but still look nice. (I have been working on filling that same wardrobe hole.) The brown fleece-lined Docs sound fabulous. Might be a nice addition to your Fall/Winter travel capsule. A brown peacoat also sounds like it would fit in nicely with your wardrobe. It is very nice that you will have a long stay in Florida. Would love to see what you decide to pack -- I enjoy seeing "travel capsule" threads as they are inspirational. I've traveled a lot, and although I've put together travel capsules that I've been really happy with, I've somehow never created one that I've been 100% happy with--either I've missed something I didn't pack or brought things I didn't wear. It's a never-ending work in progress! I have posted the link above for my travel capsule. I hope that worked.  :)  I am not the most computer literate person around.  It is the first time I have actually put a link up on YLF. :(  The link does not work so I took it down.  Things I could have left behind: 1/  Trippen Combat Boots - I did not wear these. 2/  Burnt Orange Wool Infinity Scarf - I never wore this. 3/  Silk Neck Scarf - I never wore this. 4/  J Crew long sleeve T shirts - I wore these but I don't feel fab in them. Things I wished I had: 1/  Warm boots that look nice and that I can wear - a very tall order - I searched for these in Montreal where there are shoe stores everywhere.  I almost bought a pair of fleece lined Doc Martens in chocolate brown.  Still considering. 2/  Dark Brown Pea Coat - That would mean I would have brought 3 coats with me.  However, Mr SF is planning on buying a much bigger vehicle for our future road trips.  Also, I brought way too much Sophie food.  We came back with lots of her food. I have started to work on my Florida travel capsule.  We leave at the end of January and will be away for about 8 weeks.  We stay in the northern part of Florida and are hoping to spend a week on our way back at Asheville, NC.  Asheville, NC is a big Yoga centre.
