You have your mother's beauty.<br /> Rachylou, I remember those times and the ladies tried to enforce the hats and gloves while some of us would have nothing of it. When I was in highschool in the early 60's, Eastern Star or something like that had a tea for highschool girls and gloves and hats were required. Some of my friends and I went without the gloves and got disapproving looks. I didn't own any dressy gloves and didn't want to buy something I'd never wear again. Hats got smaller and reduced to a bit of net. I think the big hair styles of the time did the most to discourage hat wearing. It's funny, as we age, my sister (10 yrs older than me) is taking on more resemblance to our mom, but I think I'm looking more like our dad. Didn't expect that! But I do still see a resemblance -- especially certain facial expressions, and my hands are undeniably mom's.</p> <p>Mom looked amazing for her age, even in her final months and days.
