I think it's funny that mine is as gray as hers.</p> <p>Suz - We have always been told we look alike, I wasn't crazy about that when I was 20 but until the last few months she aged very well so I'll take it :)</p> <p>Thank you JAileen and Kkards - cancer is a terrible disease. My brother died of the same thing four years ago and my dad of colon cancer in 2008.</p> <p>Echo, I am very lucky she only lives about an hour from me. I get to see her once or twice a week and go for occasional weekends.</p> <p>Angie, thank you. I could never understand people who complained about their mom. She has always been the person I could talk to about anything. The weather was beautiful and we spent some time in the sunshine. I snapped this selfie of us which I think I will cherish forever. She doesn't look quite like the old her because of the stroke she had during surgery, but I can still see her personality shining through.</p> <p>We have always been close, I am the oldest of 5 and was her right hand growing up. As an adult we loved to spend time together shopping, crafting, baking, just hanging out. We have always had a lot in common which made it fun to be together.</p> <p>When she is gone there will be only 3 of the 7 of us left which I find so crazy and sad. I miss them all and wish I could just visit with them and hug them like I can still do with Mom. But I do find that it helps to look at pictures and talk about them so I guess that is why I felt the need to post. Thanks for listening :)</p>
