I love, love, love Origins Out Smart spf 25. I wear it every day, no matter what. It goes on my face and neck. Good point Ele, I should be putting it on my chest too. I use whatever cheap stuff I can find everywhere else, and do so less faithfully.

PS: Ele - I had to google "PPD" since I hadn't seen that term. Turns out the US doesn't have a regulation like that so sunscreen labeled as having UVA protection doesn't necessarily mean much.

I'm going to have to do some research about this. I'm really curious about the true effectiveness of UVA protection in the US products now.

Thanks for all the input ladies! Sounds like my routine is similar to most of yours. I think I'll start using the sunscreen that I apply on my arms, hands, etc on my legs as a moisturizer.

My friends and boyfriend tease me about my "obsession" with protecting my skin from the sun. It's nice to know that I'm not crazy!

I use Neutogena Ultrasheer Dry-touch Sunblock SPF70 that is broad spectrum (both UVA and UVB), especially on my face and neck. It serves as a moisturizer too. Although it says it's absorbing etc., I find that it looks shiny. I use a brush-on powder over it on my face.
Because sunscreens have a short shelf life and it gets the most use in summer, I tend to use one tube for face and body to use it up faster and replace it often.

Here is what I do: I treat my neck, shoulders and chest as extensions of my face- I use a high SPF, high PPD moisturizing sunscreen on those areas, one that's formulated especially for faces. On my arms/legs/feet/hands/whathaveyou, I use another sunscreen formulated for the body, but I'm not so picky about it. I have a few brands lying around and generally they range from SPF 30-55, and PPD's of 10+.

While SPF is important to me (obviously I don't want to burn!), I am most mindful of getting a high PPD sunscreen. It doesn't matter how sunny it is, what time of year it is, how "safe" you think the place you're living is, UVA rays are strong all year and all day long!

londonkiwi brings up a good point about the lips- I always forget to reapply my lip balm when I go outside, I should be more careful!

My everyday moisturiser has 25spf. If it's going to be hot/sunny (haha!) i've got a special face sunscreen 40spf which i use instead of the moisturiser. My foundation and lipgloss are 15 spf
If it's going to be hot and sunny i use factor 30 on exposed body parts i've finally found 1 which doesn't leave me greasy and sticky.
This has all only come in in the last 12 months cause i've started to notice tiny slightly darker patches on my face which Dr said are sun damage x

In New Zealand I was more conscious of sun protection than I am now that I live in England. In NZ I would moisturise and use sun screen on exposed limbs every day in spring/summer/autumn. The hole in the ozone layer is over NZ and Australia and the burn time is extremely quick - as in 8 to 10 minutes. I use a moisteriser with sunscreen on my face and if I am spending any prolonged period in the sun I apply sunscreen. I make sure that anything I put on my lips has SPF15 as well.

In the UK I only bother with sunscreen on legs/arms if I know I am going to be out in the sun for 20 minutes or more and I use moisteriser with sunscreen in it on my face.

I typically use a sunscreen+moisturizer (latest fave is the Neutrogena Healthy Defense) on my face, and then regular sunscreen on my hands and body.

Sunscreen is fairly moisturizing by itself (for me, anyhow). I used to use Alba Hawaiian Sunscreen SPF 30+ all over; not sure why I stopped using it. I'll have to try it again after I finish the Neutrogena!

Yeah, It took me awhile to make it a habit.

I've seen some lotions with 15spf in it but I think I want it to be higher for my arms and hands.

I bathe and moisturize my face/body at night. In the mornings, I do a quick rise with just water for the face and apply sunscreen on the left hand - just the exposed skin and off I go to work. I am somewhat lackadaisical about my sunscreen routine because I hop into the car, go to work and stay indoors till I return in the evenings.

I'm bad about it considering where I live. I usually use amoisturizer with a sunscreen in it (but I ran out and currently have a jar of one without), but my make up also has a sunscreen and I wear that pretty much every day. I do use lotion everyday- all over my body (that's a must in the desert). If I could find a real lotion with a sunscreen in it, I would snatch it up.

I'm trying to simplify in terms of moisturizers and sunscreens.

I use moisturizer with sunscreen on my face and neck. And then I have a less expensive sunscreen lotion that I use on the rest of my exposed skin (arms, hands).

Is this what you all do? Or do you use the same sunscreen on everything?

I don't moisturize my legs but I was thinking I should start doing that regularly but I hate the idea of adding yet another lotion to the mix.

I'm thinking that a cheap moisturizing sunscreen (30spf+) would be ideal. Then I could use that freely on my whole body. Any suggestions?!
