Beautiful slightly soft leather, nice details, pretty brown color, good width to the shoulder strap, very well made. BUT…it’s just a tiny bit too small. The case for my Maui Jim aviator sunglasses is a bit bulky and stiff (but necessary to protect the somewhat fragile frame), and once I add reading glasses, wallet, and a few other necessities the bag is packed to the brim. I have learned the hard way that if a cross bag is totally full with all the necessities, it’s not big enough. For example, I could not fit a pair of gloves into this bag in winter, it’s that full. It’ size is 9 x 7 x 4. This bag would be perfect for someone who travels a little lighter than I do. </p> <p>I want something just a little bigger. There is a larger version of this same bag (see the last find), but it's a bit too big for my liking for a cross body. 12"W x 10"H x 5-1/2"D . I reviewed Angie's two other top pics again. I prefer gold hardware so that eliminates the Brahmin, and the shoulder strap on the Minkoff one is a bit too narrow (I’ve seen this one IRL).</p> <p>This is definitely a want, not a need. This shopping process is helping to reinforce three things I’ve not quite mastered yet: 1)learn from past lessons on size/fit, 2) listen to my feelings, 3) be patient. My Magpie self WILL be banished eventually!!! </p> <p>Back it goes, NEXT. I have a light blue bag but it's super classic style never really thrilled me, so I'm considering a replacement that is more interesting/modern.&nbsp; I have a gorgeous scarf in these colors that I demoted to "pretty closet decoration" because it's too flimsy to stay tied and I'm looking for a replacement on that too, one with more heft and structure like the one you found in the Netherlands. I'm tempted by that Boden jacket. Their petite sizing is too small for me in dresses but because that jacket is fairly short it might work in a regular size. The boxy shape is the thing that might NOT work but once in a while I&nbsp;get surprised.&nbsp;Another option is that I could look for a sweater in a similar caramel/black leopard print. .I also have a very old trenchcoat and another scarf in light blues. Ideally I want a medium to smallish classic satchel with handles that hinge down and a shoulder strap that has a bit of thickness to it but not a guitar strap style. Also the bottom width has to be under 4" otherwise I find they stick out too much and look awkward on very short me when worn as a cross body, which is my preferred wearing method. I also want to find something that is more modern classic than traditional classic.&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm torn between a warm cognac color and a slightly more neutral mid-brown. The warm cognac/caramel color is one I absolutely LOVE, bookends my hair well, and is already somewhat well represented in my shoe/bag collection. The pieces I have tend to be more classic than modern classic. A more neutral brown would be a new color for me and I think it might look a little more modern. I did buy a bag in a slightly cool brown a year or two ago and hard ever wore it because i just don't like that cooler color all that much.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>In warm cognac colors I'm seeing styles that are either super classic which I want to avoid (like Dooney &amp; Bourke, Ralph Lauren, some Michael Kors)&nbsp; or a bit boho/edgy which would be ok. In the neutral browns like toffee I haven't seen a lot but the do seem to be the classic satchel styles. I've also seen some darker chocolate browns but I think I don't want to go that dark.
