Ok, new mobile detector installed.

In tablet mode, the viewport should be "Android Tablet".
In phone mode, the viewport should be "Windows Phone".

In phone mode things should look "right", but incredibly large.

One other thing. Can you please check whether it still says "Android Phone" in phone layout mode?

New Windows Phone browsers look like Android phones to the library I use for detecting browser type. They must be using a new user agent string.

But it seems that I need to update my treatment of Android browsers anyway. Check whether it works now (should still detect as an Andoid phone).

EDIT: Thought I'd let you know what Windows build I have, just realized I hadn't. Windows 10 Mobile, Version 1511, OS Build 10.0.14295.1005

Aida, I have displayed the current viewport setting in the footer, just underneath the place where you can select phone or tablet layout. If things are working correctly, it should be "Windows Phone" on your Lumia. But I suspect it isn't. Please let me know.

Thanks.

Yes, sadly they are live. I need to display some info for debugging. I'll let you know when that is ready.

Are the changes live? Currently still looks the same (like 3/4 above). I'm ok with ridiculously large, easier to read ;)

Aida, I've improved the detection of Windows Phone and I think you will see a difference. If I'm correct, the layout will be right, but you might be in ridiculously large territory. Right now we don't have a good way to cater to screen sizes between phones and tablets, but one thing I should do is give you the tablet layout instead of the desktop layout when you select the "Tablet/Laptop" option on the phone.

Thanks Aida. Let me see whether I can simulate that resolution and repro the problem.

Hi Greg! I recently updated my (still Windows) phone to the Lumia 950XL and the mobile YLF site and forum look totally wonky in IE/Edge now. My husband has the Lumia 950 which looks just fine (as did my two previous phones, the Lumias 550 and 925). Both new phones are the same resolution I think, 1440x2560.

The only thing I could find that affected it was the "scaling" option for display; both of our phones are at the recommended setting but they are different -- mine is 350% and his is 400% (not sure how helpful that is, they don't explain further than that). If I choose the 400% on mine the site is back to normal looking but everything on the phone is ridiculously large. I don't have any trouble with other mobile sites with the new phone.

Not sure if this is something you would be able to fix but it would be greatly appreciated! Using the desktop version is quite the eye strain, even on this large of a screen.

950 screenshots in 1 (blog) 2 (forum), and 950XL in 3 (blog) 4 (forum).

Happy to provide more info!
