I like to mix also. My coloring is mostly cool but can go neutral and some types of seemingly warm colors— as is often said, you just have to evaluate each color alone.
But still there are colors I really can’t wear well in large amounts but wear in prints or under a jacket or something.
I also find that adding a bit of “ opposite “ type of color increases the outfit “ interest “ level.

Sounds lovely!! My daughter has copper hair and blue eyes and I regularly dress her in this color combination (blue and copper).

Welcome! Maybe it was my post about the greyish blue PC skirt I thought was teal from the photo? One day I paired it with this rust/copper sweater. My coloring is warm deep, so the sweater is quite neutral on me.
Eta found the post, it was this skirt with an orange floral blouse.

Your plan of mixing copper shells with a cool blue cardigan sounds terrific-- like golden leaves against a blue fall sky. I hope you will show us the result, for inspiration.

As for myself, I no longer want to mix warm and cool colours in clothing. My colouring has become very cool, and although I like warm colours too, they generally look rather blah on me now. However, I still have some warm-coloured jewellery, which I love and want to wear sometimes, particularly in spring and fall. And I often find that wearing jewellery in colours that are contrasting to i.e. the colour of a top or topper can look gorgeous.

I remember a fairly recent blog post about mixing warm and cool colors, but I can't seem to find it now! I have some warm copper shells that I'd like to mix with a cooler blue cardigan I just bought, and was hoping to re-look at that post for ideas. Does anyone remember which post this was in?

I have been a member for a long time but rarely participate in the forums. I really enjoy checking in every day, though, and I get a lot of good ideas from the blog and forum, and I thank you all for that!
