I agree with Firecracker, if you wear burgundy underneath or a jacket over the dress then burgundy tights, otherwise, black would be great.

I'm all for the color mix! I love mixing a quirky color tight with my dresses and do it frequently, although I haven't posted any pics. I own red, green, purple, cobalt and teal tights in addition to my neutrals (black, grey and navy). The shoes are great with the dress and will absolutely work.

Thank you all! I feel quirky, so will mix it all. I'll layer the dress with a long sleeve top . I will choose burgundy if I have. Great idea!

I really like the idea. I wonder if you will wear a top underneath or a jacket over the dress, though? If so, you might go with burgundy if you have it, to echo the tights. Otherwise, black would be great, too.

I like it. Do think the legs will be bright in the purple stockings. Black stockings would be more sophisticated. But note I'm the quirky sort that would personally do the purple.

Agree that black tights with the blue shoes will help the dress and shoe colors shine more.
However I do find that fabrics with woven plaids have nuances of color that can be exploited for a variety of options --as your dress has bright red and dark red due to the weave.

This the season to wear brights in new combinations. Thumbs up. To me your tights look fine. Black ones will really make the blue shoes pop though.

The photo is so dark that it's hard to see, but I agree with Murpheleven that black tights would be best.

I like the idea of a pop of blue, but would suggest black tights instead.

What do you think about this colour combination? Does it go well together? Should I add an accent to make it more cohesive? Or change tights or shoes?

The suede pumps have a more muted blue colour IRL.
