Yes, you can wear silver jewelry with a bag and booties which have touches of gold. The jewelry will not be worn very close to the bag and the booties, so the mix of metals is subtle and not distracting. Nowadays, rules are not as strict as they were decades ago, and even then, they were often ignored when it came to details on shoes and bags. However, wearing a gold necklace with silver earrings, or vice versa, are still avoided by many.

I mix metals also. My most recent WIW shows me wearing both silver and gold necklaces. It may be hard to see, but I have two silver and two gold. I have a watch band that is mixed silver and gold to tie things together, but I don't always wear that watch when I mix metals.

I mix metals all the time. My wedding rings are yellow gold but the rest of my jewellery is silver.

Seems to a consensus - the gold hardware is discreet on both items, so silver jewellery will be fine. Happy + safe travels!

Absolutely mix the metals. The gold is not that prominent on booties and bag, it will look fine.

Mixed metals don't bother me especially when the style is consistent. The bag and boots are both pretty casual so silver jewelry seems especially appropriate. Have a wonderful time! Sounds so fun!

Hello,
I'm starting to narrow down about what to take on a trip to Germany and Italy next week.
I'm really trying to keep things simple and, for once, not pack way too much.
I'm definitely taking a pair of booties that have a gold buckle. I don't think the gold buckle is very prominent because the booties are sand colored, so the buckle blends in to some extend.
I would also like to only take one bag. It's a black Burberry tote and the only hardware is a gold zipper and gold logo.
Can I wear silver jewelry with that? I would prefer to just take limited jewelry and my favorites at the moment are silver.
These are the booties and bag in question:

Thanks!
