I was planning a travel capsule around my denim ballet flats with tan trim and a navy and tan bag I had ordered, when I realized that the bag would not arrive before I left! I totally switched the capsule around. That's (one if the few) times in a year where communications, flights, etc get missed, transportation gets delayed, etc! Pthe retrograde should be over this week... I think... We were down for a wedding, which was gorgeous. I had posted for advice for a dress earlier, and ended up just shopping my closet. I originally planned to bring a citron sheath (I should have, it was HOT), but when I held it up next to a black dress, DH clearly chose black.</p> <p>Here's the funny part (actually more frustrating than funny) and I'm seeing a pattern:</p> <p>1) Shoes miss their flight: I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from The Bay in early June to go with either of my older dresses - the Sam Edelman Ollie's, plus some bright orange 9Wests. Can you believe they are still "in transit"?!!! I've even been billed for them! No flipping way am I paying for those! Canada Post has clearly lost them. Looks like the shoes missed their flight....I've complained &amp; should get a refund in about 10 days... Oh well, wore some older nude heels and they were fine.</p> <p>2) Bags miss their flight: we practically missed our connection home via San Fran due to a delay. Unfortunately our bags missed the flight and went MIA for 2 days. I was making up my list of contents this AM when they showed up finally on our doorstep...</p> <p>3) Zara order misses its flight: I love Angie's asymmetrical hem Zara sweaters so much that I ordered them online when I was in Mexico (this time express, learning from my Bay mistake above). I checked their shipping status online this AM, and can you believe it says, "order delayed due to missed flight!!!"</p> <p>I have to laugh at this point! Perhaps it's time to take a breather from anything to do with planes. Just a chuckle. Maybe this is for off-topic. Either way, glad to be back &amp; will post some WIWs soon. I was happy that my travel capsule worked well, based very much on what I've learned here. </p>
