I guess it's more "mismatched earlobes". I've currently got five piercings: one on each side in the normal spot, two evenly spaced extra ones in the right ear, and one extra one on the left side about halfway up my ear, at the highest spot that's still earlobe and not cartilage. So two in the left and three in the right, and not in the same places. But the earrings are all the same -- small, thick white gold "huggie" rings. This is what I wear 90% of the time. If I ever wear anything else, it's huge, flashy, dangly ones in the bottom holes, and they've gotta match! But I like the idea of a hanging chain on one side and a stud on the other. I do it all the time. For example, today I have a spike stud in one ear and a long single metal chain in the other - and it works! I've also worn a short dangly pearl in one ear and a leather stud in the other. Another is a teeny-tiny flower stud in one ear and a dangly looking abstract branch in the other. And one more - a small metal skull stud in one ear and a small heart stud in the other. There are all kinds of possibilities! Do any of you mix it up? If so, please share! </p>
