On my 20 minute lunch break I 'pretended' to go over to the local Target to get some sundries but really to pop into their changing room and take some pics. I have been playing around with horizontal stripes (just re-made a dress into a top) and the only way it looked good was to make it completely body-con (tight on my torso). If the little inward curve I DO have beneath the bust was obscured by blousing, it didn't look as flattering. Horizontal stripes can be really hard to wear.</p> <p>ETA: I just remembered reading an article about this and apparently the size of the stripes matters (the smaller, the easier to wear because they look like a solid from a distance), and the ratio of color to white makes a big difference. I have a navy T with skinny white stripes sparsely placed across is and it's much easier to wear than if the background were white and the skinny stripes navy. Does that make sense?
