I have some that are perfect in every way, and I desperately wish I had another color or even a replacement for a well worn one, but the style can no longer be found. So I would strongly encourage you to get the bag. As for white, spray the leather with a protector and you may find that it doesn't get nearly as dirty as you fear, and if it does it can be more easily cleaned if it was protected first.
