For the last couple of years, I have been wearing Bali Lilyette Keyhole minimizer bras. I originally tried them because they were seamless and I got tired of having seams on my bras show through tee shirts and other tops. I admit that, when I bought them, I did not have much hope for liking them very much because I have never had good experiences with minimizers. However, I ended up enjoying them very much and recently repurchased after my first ones gave up the ghost. If you decide to try this style, please note that they may not be in the same area as the other Bali styles, even the minimizers. Apparently "Lilyette" is now a sub-category of Bali so I had trouble locating them when I was only searching the Bali racks in my local department store.

I'd try on different styles of seamed bras (not molded) bras from different brands before settling for a minimizer. Bras are intricate products because they have so many parts and construction techniques. Check aspects like gore width and size, two vs. three part cups, strap placement on the upper cup, wire shape and size, band width, number of hooks, etc to see if you can find something that supports and looks good under your clothes. Minimizers tend to flatten and give a uni-boob look that does not flatter most women.

And if nipple show is a concern, silicone pads can fix that problem.

Wanted to add I know that general advice is to just get a bra that fits and it will look better,
I agree BUT just so self conscious about being very big busted so if there is something that would reduce the look a bit I would be happy. That said, I also know I should be grateful for what I have in that many women who have had breast illnesses wish they had this problem and I am grateful for good health...would just feel less self conscious if I could find the "one". Thanks again.

I have tried to find one over the years, and have been turned off by the seaming in the cups, and the general shapelessness they seemed to give me. The odd part too is that none of them had enough padding or coverage to prevent nipple show-through - which I am definitely not cool with.

I wear Wacoal in the Awareness style. No front seams. If it is pushing to the side I would question the fit.

I wear minimizers. Can't help you with brands available in the USA but I buy mine at Marks & Spencer's or online from a brand called Penny.

Yes, some minimizers will push your breasts together and inwards, becoming impossible to wear with deep neck tops. Though they will make your breasts appear smaller if you're wearing them with say a round neck top or collared shirt. Make sure you look for one with thick straps and good underwired support. A balconette bra with minimizer and smooth fabric is my favourite pick

I do. I currently wear a Vanity Fair "Beauty Back" minimizer for everyday. I find that some minimizers have very wide-set straps (so that they aren't hidden by a tank top) and I suppose that's just bad engineering (depth doesn't necessarily width, torso-wise) but this one works well for me. I'm not sure this bra is going to last a long time but it's comfortable for the summer (not made of iron like some seem to be). There's a definite difference in my 40DD silhouette between this bra and my Soma non-minimizer.

Do any of you wear a minimizer bra and if so, which one do you prefer? I have been told that bras for the large chested need seams in the cup, would that be true for a minimizer? I want something that will do more than just push "everything" to the side" which I have been told some minimizers do. Thanks in advance for any recommendations/information.
