Bras are intricate products because they have so many parts and construction techniques. Check aspects like gore width and size, two vs. three part cups, strap placement on the upper cup, wire shape and size, band width, number of hooks, etc to see if you can find something that supports and looks good under your clothes. Can't help you with brands available in the USA but I buy mine at Marks &amp; Spencer's or online from a brand called Penny. </p> <p>Yes, some minimizers will push your breasts together and inwards, becoming impossible to wear with deep neck tops. Though they will make your breasts appear smaller if you're wearing them with say a round neck top or collared shirt. Make sure you look for one with thick straps and good underwired support. I currently wear a Vanity Fair "Beauty Back" minimizer for everyday. I find that some minimizers have very wide-set straps (so that they aren't hidden by a tank top) and I suppose that's just bad engineering (depth doesn't necessarily width, torso-wise) but this one works well for me. I'm not sure this bra is going to last a long time but it's comfortable for the summer (not made of iron like some seem to be).
