Thanks for all the great input!

I will keep the tricky trousers until I find a replacement and wear them like #7, 12, 19 (which are my personal favorites).

I support ferns suggestion on the blouse, which is a bit stiff because it is raw silk (I'm not sure about the english term). I'm not totally in love with it, but will keep it for a while to see if I can come up with any solutions that will work.

If you are wearing the tricky trousers in all photos, I think they can look great if styled right! To me, the way you have them styled works really well in 7 and 12. Simple and all black, no distractions. I should add, I like things minimal, that is my personal taste. I also think #10, 17 and 19 are pretty cute as well. 12 is very chic. I keep going back to look at it. Nice work!

The pants are cool and I think it would look great like the one you styled in #1 with tank tops or shorter fitted tees.

I also agree that slim trousers would look great on you and with your styleing ideas here.

I also think the pleated trousers would look great on you but the ones here are too small. They should be loose, sit lower on the hip even have a slight droopyness in crotch area. "slouchy trousers" and also longer and some scrunching at the ankle.

!2 and 13 are amazing! Actually once you hit #7, the silhouette is spot on! I agree with the others that you're having to work around the trousers. A good pair of slim fit trousers would be extremely versatile for you!

I love the blouse in #7 and agree with the others that #12 is a fabulous look for you. The brown silk blouse does seem too big and too stiff - I don't know what you could do about that other than to take the side seams in a bit. You've got some great shoes here!

First off, if you don't already have them you NEED some slim trousers so you can wear things like #12 OFTEN. That silhouette is so good!! Ok onto the trousers.... I think these trousers will work best with longer drapey blouses that are belted and blousoned like you've done in #10 but a longer tunic length; they aren't _quite_ loose enough through the thigh and I'm not totally sold on the wide waist band (but that's just me). I do really like the pseudo-peplum silhouette with them in #7, I think that has potential. Not really loving the brown silk blouse, it looks quite large on you and it seems a little stiff for silk?

fern: I like the colour of the blouse, but I am not totally *in love* with it. In my mind, the sleves were fun, but as I said I need to buy skinnies or something to pair it with.

ManidipaM: I've tried pencil skirt, but I can't remember if it worked. I've never worn it with a pencil so my guess is that it didn't turn out very successfully. I'll try again.

Thanks for commenting, I'm all grateful!

In my mind all my clothes are in such a shape so that I don't have to think about it. I don't want to have trousers that I can only wear with covering up or needing some other item draw attention away from "misfittings" / revealing shape or fabric.

Though, I realise that building a wardrobe and replacing holes and certain items takes time.

I don't love the trousers themsevles but the way you styled them in #7, #12 and #19 really seem to work for the trousers and your shape. I love the black and white slingbacks too!

I think the trousers are fighting your shape - except then I got to #12 and Wow! Fantastic outfit. But the trousers are mostly covered there - I would keep the trousers for this look, unless you have another pair that has that leg line.
I love volume, & I think the vintage blouse is potentially awesome, but wow, that's a lot of sleeve. Do you love the color? I imagine the fabric is amazing texturally.

I have to say I rather like the pants, especially with the shorter blouses (5-11). With a longer dress, the intentional top volume is so hidden that they look like too-short skinnies or leggings.

As for the brown blouse, how about trying it over a pencil skirt?

Sorry to say I am not a fan of the trousers. They seem to add bulk to your frame where there really isn't any. I like all of the toppers, especially the one in pics 10 and 11. The vintage brown silk blouse looks too big, though. And I think you're right about needing a slimmer fitting pant for the blouse in pics 7-9. I wonder how a different belt might look with that top. Perhaps something wider or with more contrast?

Here are some black viscose trousers that I find difficult to wear, though very comfy and I love the style (on others), but I am uncertain if it works for me.

I've altered the brightness in the photos to get more the most revealing contrast.

The blouse, see #14-18: again a second hand find that I havn't worn that much. I thought maybe dark blue (or some bright colour) skinny jeans would work, but I don't have any. The shape is voluminous, so I think I need something skinny beneath.. or not?? Keep or let go??

Feel free to be honest!

#1-4 Tricky trouser front, side, back
#5-6 + silk draped blouse
#7-8 + Marc by MJ star blouse w/ skinny belt
#9-10 + vintage silk blouse + skinny belt
#11-12 + A-line dress + golden belt
#13 + floral dress
#14-18 +vintage brown silk blouse + belt
#19 Tricky trousers travelling (NYC last year)
