When I am outside being active (running, hiking, climbing), I use the Australian Gold Botanical (also tinted). I find the Australian Gold to be quite thick and can see why she wouldn’t recommend it under makeup, although I haven’t tried wearing it that way. For me, that rules out anything expensive, because I'll hesitate to use a larger dollop for my face and chest if the 1.5 oz tube is, say, $40. (I wear sunscreen daily.) I don't have a holy grail product, but the EltaMD mineral sunscreen is my 'good enough' daily product.
