And while with some things doubling up with colour variations doesn't work (get bored of the same style, and have one colour I always reach for because it suits the style best) shoes are different. They both get a lot of wear -- they're my go-to fall/winter booties -- so, despite the fact that they were pricey, I don't regret it at all. I'm hoping this will be the same thing. Owing to our climate, I don't think either of those pairs of shoes will get as much wear as the booties, but then of course they will last longer. And they seem like timeless classics to me, so they won't look dated, even in ten years' time, right? Would you agree? (D'ya like how I'm rationalizing?) </p> <p>Jenava: I tried on the light pink, and it's a PERFECT match to my skin. A beautiful nude shoe -- never thought I'd see the day! I would be tempted to buy them, except they really wouldn't get much wear here in Vancouver. And they're expensive shoes, so I can't really justify three pairs! My heart belongs to the black and the army green ones -- those colours are more in line with my style, no matter how long the nude ones make my legs appear. </p> <p>Mochi: it's a funny thing, but a well-made, well-balanced 3" heel is surprisingly comfortable. I never used to wear heels because they hurt my feet, and then one day, about four or five years ago, I caved and spent a pile of money on a fabulous pair of high-heeled Fluevog boots -- and was blown away by how comfortable they were. It's probably why I've joined the Fluevog cult following, haha. But I'm sure that other high quality brands, like Chie Mihara say, would be just as comfortable.
