biscuitsmom - I don't mind the epaulets but it's that one little patch that causes me to pause. But I ordered it to try anyway because it's 100% cotton and I'm supposed to have fun with fashion and I'm not willing to spend more $$$ on a higher end "utility" style jacket.

I really like it. I have removed both epaulets (sp?) and insignias from jackets to tone down the look and been pleased. Would you be happy with a plainer look? Even as is, it looks good, although I have a sugar eye for this type of jacket

nancylee - I know it's just a little patch, but I just don't want to seem like I'm trying to pretend. I'm not sure if I could take it off but I guess I'll have to take a look in person again to know for sure.
talific - I agree the brown one is better.

It's definitely a military style, but I like it. The brown one is much better than the green, imo. If it works with your wardrobe/style, I say go for it.

Hm. The only military insignia I see is the little chevron patch on the upper arm. Would that bother you, or could you maybe (carefully) remove it?

The price is definitely right. It's up to you if that patch would bother you.

So I like this ON military style jacket but can't help but wonder if the military details are too much. What do you think? The price is right. The reviews are good. It would work well in my wardrobe in the brown tone -- I ended up returning a similar colored one in a different style I had from EB due to fit issues but I did like the color.
