I find that I'm sizing up a lot in sweaters now, for comfort and ease of movement.</p> <p>Cute story, DD broke her clavicle when she was in kindergarten (my fault, I was sitting next to her on the piano bench and scooted over and accidentally bumped her off the bench and she fell onto her shoulder--bad mom!). She had to wear a sling. A few days later she went to a birthday party at a gymnastics center, and insisted on swinging on the rings with her one good arm. She's always been a tough cookie! Her clavicle healed quickly without needing surgery. In my experience patients did better more often with fractured clavicles when they had surgery than not, as there was not such a lump as there might be if it healed without surgery. I had patients with both. It was never my decision as their GP what they should do, that was for the orthopaedic team, I just saw it later.<br /> Wonderful you could get online instructions! I found instructions online. And tried it. And it worked! No raising of the arm, no danger. (I managed to get it off, too.)&nbsp;</p> <p>Mind you, this is a very oversized sweater -- it's meant to fit loose and it is a size too large for me, but I kept it because&nbsp; I liked it, and it was going to cost money and be a hassle to return. Anyway, the way it collapses in on itself, it doesn't feel too sloppy to me if I give it a partial tuck. I was so excited to wear a different kind of top!&nbsp;</p> <p>My students enjoyed the print -- animal print of another kind, so a bit cheeky. And a different colour for me -- a sagey olive. Definitely not my best colour but a nice change.&nbsp;</p> <p>Also, I saw my doctor yesterday and he says the healing is going really well. I don't know how the bone is actually doing (too early for a new x-ray) but he showed me the post-surgical x-ray and things looked great. I can take the sling off at home for some tasks as long as I don't lift anything. I have to wear it everywhere else. though. I'll be limited this way for at least another month, but might start physio after that.&nbsp; </p>
