My fave outfit formula for a midi pleated skirt is wearing a jean/short tailored jacket as a topper, but love seeing&nbsp; other kinds of toppers IRL outfits with a midi, too. I have some sleeveless tops in petite sizes but take regular size ( XS or 0 ) in bottoms, dresses, long sleeved tops.&nbsp;<br />After @Runcarla and others posted links to Kibbie System I felt like I'm close to Flamboyant Gamine ( or so I wish ). The general advice was to do "broken vertical lines" and fun prints ( which really resonated with me ) and so that's what I'm pursuing right now.<br />My jackets are close to classic or somewhat boyfriend shape and sometimes feel too muscular paired with skirts ( and they black, plus one in navy ). I took a chance on 100% polyester skirt on sale at Express and it’s now the most dressy one in my casual wardrobe. The “swish”, the shape and color - all gave instant boost to my mood. All my outfits with midi skirt are summery and worn to work ( there is nowhere else to wear it right now ).<br /> Hopefully with today blog post I’ll be able to figure out more outfits for real fall weather ( CA is still hot ). </p>
