I like XCVI, the ones with lesser ruching. Also bought two just-below-the-knee linen culottes or gauchos from NYDJ on sale and wore them as well. I never saw anyone else wearing either, but I am waiting, hoping I am a trendsetter or just mistaken for a European :). Bought a halter midi dress for this summer/resort and plan to wear a jeans jacket over it. Skinny denim, I find, is too warm for the summer months. I like my skirts and dresses to hit on the lower part of the kneecap, but will settle for anywhere on the knee. Longer can feel frumpy if not wearing just the right shoes (probably heels on my 5'3" height) Shorter (above the knee) looks silly on a woman my age and blocky on my body. It really does not matter to me what others are wearing.
