I think they look better with a heel unless you have really long legs. Mine have a one and half inch heel and I do not wear them with skirts. </p> <p>To answer your question Patience, I don’t think I can generalize any more about which calf length boots are best. There are too many variables at play – boot style, heel height, body type and clothing. I used to have snug ones and wore them with skirts all the time. Looks great if you have slender calves (which I know you do) and stick with your most flattering skirt length.<br /> I've never had slouchy ones but once tried some on and liked them with a skirt as well. It's a funkier look than the snug ones, so it all depends on what you like and want to portray.
