It's interesting how deep the cultural connotations of fishnets run. I don't feel at all odd in textured hose, but call them fishnets and I start wondering what people think. </p> <p>Marianna, that's so funny! </p> <p>Michelle, the nude fishnets are not that noticeable, especially from any kind of distance. The color is very close to skintone (at least on me). So all you really see is a subtle texture. Someone sitting next to you would notice they were fishnets, someone across the room probably even look twice. Black are a little more noticeable because of the contrast, but still somewhat subtle. I told him that microfishnets, in particular, are standard fashion items these days and that I didn't know anyone who thought there was anything "iffy" about them. </p> <p>I found out later that one of my team members had been making ugly comments to him about my fashion choices! I told him that if he or if someone in HR has a problem with anything I wear, they should talk to me about it directly and tell me specifically what needs to change, otherwise I'm not hearing it.
