However, I am biased against chinos recently - I get so frustrated with how easily they wrinkle!</p> <p>While I agree that colored chinos might lend themselves more to summer, I think both chinos and micro-check can be worn all year. </p> <p>I'm not sure if my assumptions are right. I have a question, how are these different from a colorful cotton trouser (ex: JCrew chinos)? I have imagined, perhaps incorrectly, that a cotton microcheck is suitable for winter because of its pattern, while a chino (not in khaki) would be suitable for summer. </p>
