It took me over a year to find these ( and I do shop often, both in the stores and online). I think I must have tried over 20 different pairs throughout that time. I have even bought two from Gap last fall that I felt so-so about out of sheer desperation ( they did look great on other YLF ladies, but not on my body). Luckily our wise Angie &#38; YLF made me see that so I returned them. And now I have these. They were originally $139, are currently on sale for $99, and I had the extra 20 % off student discount so I ended up paying $79. It was still a bit more than I am happy to pay, but since I was looking for them for so long without success I couldn't risk waiting for them to go on further sale for the fear that they would be out of my size, which happens so often to me. This is the first mark down though, and in my experience with Club Monaco they will do second and third and so on if the item does not sell out. What makes them pure perfection is that they were exactly what I was looking for and couldn't find for over a year:</p> <p>* black/cream ( I was looking for some combo of black/grey/cream)<br /> * stretchy cotton material<br /> * NO front pockets<br /> * no whiskering/creasing at the front, which rarely happens to me with pants</p> <p>I will have to have the waist band taken in, but that's pretty much a given for me. The only dilemma I have right now is what height of shoes to hem them for - true flats or small 1.5" mini wedge.</p> <p>Angie, I do not know if these are the ones you mentioned on your blog, but if they are, they are on sale now!</p> <p>If anyone is still looking for micro check pants, I can warmly recommend these, I am in love Thanks Angie for pointing me in the right direction, you are the best ! </p>
