Second thought: A closer look at this profile reveals that Rasmus G. started this thread 4 months ago and apparently haven't been active since then. So to Usman Qamar and others: It seems that we don't need to give any advice here, as R.G. probably don't read it.

It will be easier for others to help if you provide a some info in your profile. (Feel free to check others' profiles for inspiration. ) Also, it would be useful to know where in the world you live, which winter climate you have to cope with, and some info about your age and lifestyle.

I believe classic leather jacket and Trench coat will not go out of fashion for decades. it is good investment for classy style and functional outerwear.

I am obsessing a bit over the thin quilted down vest under jacket/blazer look for men. Uniqlo does it with shinier fabric both v-neck and collar. Nordies has it with matte vests-some actually built into the coat. So far DH has nixed the idea. We'll see.

Otherwise just walking around Nordstrom's men's dept. is a good education (at least for me) Our store does a great job on displays.

I think it's important to know what colors work for you.

A lot depends on your height and build. I agree with Rachylou about uniqlo being a great place to shop for building blocks of a wardrobe. However, the men in my life are all over 6ft 2in and have trouble finding a good fit there. Husband is 60 years and can afford to shop at an upscale men's department store, but he gets his bottoms from 'Lands End' because they come in tall and fit his body well. Sons X 2 in their mid 20's shop a variety of places from a local independent clothing store to the big chains. All 3 have very different ideas about their style but run more classic - jeans or corduroys, t-shirts and button downs, sweaters. They don't do the athleisure/sweat pant look.

Right now leather jackets and puffers and interesting shoes and boots are on their radar, and less specific styles to tops or bottoms.

Uniqlo is what comes to my mind first. They seem to have the ‘it’ look, but it’s also in the realm of ‘traditional.’ And I admit, that’s my favourite sort of look for men... fashionable but not fashion-y.

Hey

So I'm about to start my winter shopping soon and was thinking if any of you guys would share your men's winter fashion favourites? I'm both looking for current fashion styles, but also some if those "never-goes-out-of-style items"

I hope you can help me out
