Also, good idea to talk your husband out of synthetics (cheap ones, that is), because with leather, your feet don't sweat too much and you can use leather grease/dubbin for maintenance to keep them waterproof.</p> <p>Sarah A: Blundstone! Don't let your feet stay wet more than a few hours at a time though... Kamik boots many styles are made in Canada not China... if that sort of thing is on your priority list. I came up with Hunter, LL Bean, Sorel, and Sperry Top Sider as brands I know that do the anti-wet-foot thing. But I've no idea about comfort for any of those. </p> <p>Do you have any suggestions for brands? Or stores he might hit up to try some on? He works behind the scenes in movies and sometimes needs to work out in the rain, on his feet for 10-16 hours a day. If he used these for travel he would be walking all day long as well. </p> <p>Thank you for any input you may have!</p> <p>ETA: should have mentioned: these don't have to be 100% gear. Hubs usually wears grunge/skater influenced styles - so he does have his own flair. </p>
