Thanks for the tip about Armani Exchange...I've never been in there!

I help my husband buy clothes too! With that well fitting jean, a structured suit jacket with them is a great way to hide that tummy. The eye goes up to the broad shoulder. It's a great casual look...darker and heavier fabrics in winter and lighter ones in summer. They don't have to be expensive ones. I'm going to check out AX for some.

THank you Angie and Nicole - I will try both.

BTW, a just got a good jeans tip from a fashionable friend tonight. She got a GREAT pair of jeans for around $30 at the Armani Exchange in Bellevue Square. My son says the sign just says AX or something and that it's across from Pottery Barn kids. Anyway, the jeans looked terrific so thought I'd pass it on.

Try Liz Claiborne’s classic cut at Macys and regular bootcuts and Banana Republic for starters. Glad that you vetoed the Costco purchase.

I buy all my husband's clothing (if I didn't he'd go around in his cycling gear because that is all he knows how to buy). I always get his pants at the Gap. I like that they carry odd waist sizes (he has a 35" waist). Also, the Gap is always having sales and they carry several different styles. It's a good idea to go to their website to check out the different styles they carry, so when you go into the store, you'll be better prepared to help him pick out the style that will look best on him.

My husband is looking for advice on brands of jeans to try. (He has a typical middle aged guy figure, a little more in the tummy area and less in the butt than he had 20 years ago.) I convinced him today NOT to buy the horrible Costco jeans he usually buys that are so baggy on him, they just look awful. I'm planning to take him on a jeans trying on outing to a dept. store, but wanted some recommendations for brands. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks.
