While I think either black or brown would work, the more conservative (and maybe more versatile for interviews and such) choice would be black. My husband likes Kenneth Cole, and Ecco dress shoes.

Glad the suit issue got sorted out!

As far as shoes -- Either brown or black could work. I think dark brown shoes with charcoal is a nice combo, but perhaps a bit fashion-forward/unexpected for an interview.

What color charcoal is it? Cool or warm-toned? I think choice of shoes also depends on what color tie and shirt he'll be wearing.

Good shoe brands are Ecco and Joseph Seibel (according to my brother ).

we returned the black suit for a dark charcoal, and it looks even better! phew...

next step: shoes! we are looking for work dress shoes, ideally ones that are comfy and last a LONG time...iwhat brands? s dark brown or black more flattering and/or versatile?

while he isn't willing to spend loads of money on 1 pair of shoes, if the comfort/durability factor is high, i think i can work it ;-)

thanks so much for you help!
