Solid: RL Polo deodorant (not anti-persperant, which is different). Smells great and no laundry issues. No matted-hair problems either that I've heard about (lol).

Mine prefers spray on because of body hair. He feels like everything else just coats the hair or sticks to it and never hits the skin anyway. He sprays it and then when he puts his arm down it makes a hissing sound (all the tiny bubbles popping, I imagine). I have never had laundry issues. Indeed, his clothing has fewer anti-perspirant stains than mine sometimes do.

Regarding yellowing on white shirts, that is usually caused not by an anti-perspirant/deodorant, but by the perspiration itself. Ring around the collar is the classic example of yellowing but doesn't involve any product at all.

Mine prefers gel, which I suppose is more of a liquid than a solid. He likes Mitchum Power Gel unscented. Works well. No laundry issues here, but he doesn't really wear white shirts all that often, so I can't vouch for the Mitchum being the kind that won't yellow on white shirts - since I don't really know for sure.

Ha! i know just what you mean... Cardboard armpits on tee shirts!
My DH uses a roll on, in the summer though he does trim the hair back a little so it's shorter and cooler. I told him that he may have been using a little too much at once too. The tee shirt problem is now much improved

Does yours prefer liquid or solid? I'm curious because most have long hair there and doesn't the solids just matte on the hair and not get to the actual armpit skin? My question stems from some laundry issues.
