Laura Ashley used to buy old Welsh quilts and she would copy the patterns and use them in her clothes. My niece has furnished her house with fabrics from the LA factory shop. The young sales assistant hovering nearby started gushing about how Stella McCartney was her favorite designer. My absent-minded comment that she was almost more famous these days than her dad seemed to bewilder her. As I was paying for it I commented that the colours "reminded me of Pucci". The assistant looked at me as if I were mad . "Pucci?" she queried. At that moment my memory practically failed me and I began to wonder if I had got the name wrong. "Yes, I always loved his colours", I remarked. "Well that's a new one on me" she replied and looked at her (possible) mother as if to say,"Humour her!. She might be thinking of Gucci"!. When I got home the first thing I did was to Google "Pucci" and boy was I relieved to find I was right and that the designer existed, not just in my (failing)memory. Have you ever had a Senior moment?    :O)
