They are relatively not too expensive, fit well, and look a lot like the real thing, so it was a question (in terms of filing a claim) of how unhappy I would be with something that was not the authentic product. </p> <p>The CC company wanted copies of receipts and so forth (could get, but everything's online). Mostly they wanted some verification that the product is not what the company claimed. Roger Vivier is not sold here in Boston; there is a New York boutique that I would need to go to and have someone look at the shoes and be willing to write something up for me. It is just not worth it if the shoes fit and look close to the real thing. </p> <p>After ordering and receiving, I'm not so sure why I wanted them anyway...the leopard pattern is very high-contrast, and they are a large-sized bootie for my feet and legs. Do you recognize these as the rip-off, knock-off, pseudo chichi designer shoes I was going into a credit card dispute about? </p> <p>CC company finally got the paperwork over to me and now I see there are major hoops and hoops to jump through to fight this charge. I decided to give up, bite the bullet, and take it on the chin as a lesson on impulse buying. So I wanted to give them one more try on to see if they're as tacky as I thought. (I think they still are.)</p> <p>However, they do have this extremely smooth sole that lets me glide the way I'm supposed to for tango....and none of my other shoes have this capability. So rather than have to find another pair (while I'm still a beginner, and figuring out how serious I want to be about this), now I'm thinking that that's it, here are my shoes for now. </p> <p>They still look like diseased kiddie bedtime slippers. </p>
