Maya, I tried the Lulus and I agree on both points. They were too dainty for my size 9W foot. I tried the Swanns after hearing about them so much here, but as Shiny says, they are probably meant for a narrower foot.

Marianna, good to know. I plan to go up half a size to gain some extra space in the toebox.

Shiny, Thanks for the detailed reply. The Nadias seem to be a tad bit more elasticized than the Ninis but they look pretty similar otherwise. I have ordered a pair, so let's see. I plan to wear these flats on my Mexico trip where I hope it will be hot if not humid, so I think I'll give the Legends a miss.

Like Marianna says, size up a half size. I don't know if this is unique to Me-too though. I find that for ANY flat, I have to size up. That's because with a flat your foot has little arch support and as you walk, your foot flattens out and gets wider.

My experience with this brand is that each style fits differently. Some styles seem better designed for narrow feet, and others for wider feet. I have a wider forefoot that is kinda high, sounds similar to your feet. I have not tried either of these styles but my most comfortable Me-Too's are the Nini's, which look a lot like the Nadia's. They may actually be the same shoe but the Nadia's are the most current rendition. I couldn't be sure unless I tried them on.

Assuming they are the same, I did size up 1/2 size with the Nini's and needed to put a piece of moleskin in the back of the heel to keep them on my feet because that made them just a smidge too long (though the smaller size was definitely too small). The moleskin is still there but has worn down so much, I don't think it's doing anything anymore. At any rate, when I first put them on, they are a bit loose (cross your legs and the shoe threatens to fall off), but after just an hour or so, as my feet flatten out, they fit perfect and no more falling off. I walked all over Paris in these for 8+ hours a day, over a 10 day trip - no blisters! That's how comfortable they are.

Swann's - never worked for my foot. I think they are better for a more narrow foot?

I also have the Legend's. I find they are quite comfortable, except when I wore them in Hong Kong, they weren't quite as good as the Nini's. The problem there was the high heat and humidity: my feet swelled so much, the elastic around the shoe dug into the top of my foot by the end of the day. The Nini's ultimately were better. But at home, with our lower humidity and heat, I can wear the Legend's for 8+ hours, no problem.

For me, Me Toos definitely run half a size small. I recently bought some Me Too wedges in my normal size and they're clearly too short and it's painful. I have another pair of Me Toos in a full size larger than I usually wear and those fit so much better. I think it completely depends on the style though and you have to try them on your own feet to gauge comfort, fit, etc.

I read the thread you bumped but I never ended up trying these on. I have some Me Too moccasins that I love and which are incredibly comfortable, but I haven't had any luck with their flats. The Swanns are not bad and I wear them sometimes, but they don't make it to 8 hours for me. I tried the Lulus and hated them (although that had more to do with the fact that I felt like I was wearing clown shoes, but they weren't that comfy either). Also tried the Laytons and didn't find them to be all that special in terms of comfort.

I will eventually be trying the Nexi loafers since they are similar in construction to my mocs, and I'm also going to try these because I love them:

http://www.zappos.com/me-too-l.....e-metallic

But I am not expecting success. They seem very similar to the Laytons and Lulus. As Angie would say, though, nothing ventured, nothing gained. When I start making money again they are on my to-try list. I'm optimistic about the loafers though, but I know they are not everyone's cuppa tea.

I am tired of wearing sporty Mary Janes and want some nicer shoes. I have a wide forefoot that is kind of high. I am considering these two styles:

Lanai - http://tinyurl.com/ydvz4e3
Nadia - http://tinyurl.com/yj999pc

Which of these are comfier? Or should I scrap both and look for a different brand or style. Any sizing issues I should be aware of? I think I want to put some kind of supportive insole into them for some extra support so I am looking for recommendations for those as well.
