Id like to shop more in person of course, and have less to return from online failed buys!</p> <p>Ironically, on our recent trip to Memphis my aunt &amp; I visited a TJ maxx, a place I only occasionally visit. I was surprised to see such a large selection of plus size clothing--a lot more than in Seattle's store. At the store where I work, we had too many larger sizes for our current clientele, so we ended up sending quite a few of the pieces to the Beverly Hills store, where they have more demand for the upper size range we offer. And sparkly eyeshadow is so much fun!</p> <p>You can hardly pick up a newspaper or business publication today without encountering an article proclaiming that B&amp;M retailing is dying. Usually, they conclude that competition from on-line sellers is to blame. All I know is that when I go through a B&amp;M store rack, I often find a phlethora of size 00 and 0 and sometimes 2, but most often only one of size 12 or 14 in a given item, rarely both. Can't remember when I last saw a 16 in a store. A person doen't need an MBA and a bunch of spreadsheet calculations to figure out that at least part of the problem is that they simply aren't stocking clothing for a very substantial portion of the shopping public. Nordstrom Macy Zara, Gap etc are not made for a plus size 18 curvy with an 11wides foot or a 12 which is my current shoe size. </p> <p>I remember when I "sized " out of these stores. Then my mindset became. </p> <p>Why spend my money or waist my time in stored that don't obviously want me?</p> <p>There are plenty of stores, custom manufacturer, online and retail stores that do. I don't have to sacrifice my style or comfort or money at store that are not willing to meet me where I am. </p> <p>The old waisted argument is why not loose the weight. </p> <p>I will not answer that question. </p> <p>I go to who wants my money and who makes me feel fab. I suggest you do that also Anna. There comes a point in time where you say F it and will do just that. It is a mindset that has to take place 1st.</p> <p>Also we also need to stand up to those who pressure us to size down. What a joke. </p>
