Wanz is known to be a great guy who is very much enjoying touring with Macklemore and Ryan White. He's in his 50's and had given up on a music career, and was working as a software tester (or something like that) when somebody recommended him to them when they were looking for someone with a certain sound. He never expected to hear anything from them again after he recorded that song and was so surprised when they gave him a credit (and therefore royalties) and then asked him to tour with them when the song became a hit.
