First the bomber. I like the oversized fit on you. It looks so on trend. My favorite outfit you created is with the black shorts. But I like all of the looks with the white tee underneath, which really make the jacket pop.

And I love how you interpreted Angie's ensemble! You look great with the Cons. I also like the third outfit, the one with the nude peeptoe booties.

LOVE all your WIWs. Very cool - esp #1 and the blog outfit.

I didn't read all the comments but I like the bomber much better with the very slim shorts. Would probably go well with skinnies, too. It's just a boxy piece, I guess. Then again, the bomber is the A#1 style I am passing on this season...

That's disappointing, Una. I've never had a too tight raglan sleeve. They are usually so forgiving. Mine should be here and ready for return on Monday. Such a bummer :(
@makrame: thanks! I like structured--beats "too young!"

Fun outfits! Like the army green pants with the white tops!

I actually like the clutch, especially with the soft shirt and nude sandals in the first image of #2. I think with those items making the overall ensemble a bit dressier, the clutch looks more "structured" than "too young".

In #1, I am especially fond of the blue sweater with lemon-yellow top.

Wow, what a nice surprise! Thank you all so much for the helpful comments. I’ve been running around like a crazy person and just now am sitting down waiting for the next round of taxi calls! Overall, it seems like we agree that the bomber works best with the casual bottoms and only somewhat well with the dresses. I’m going to play around with it a little more before I make a decision. I love the print and the oversized shape though.

@texstyle: Thank you. The sandals are Softt that I picked up a couple of years ago. They are very comfortable but require bending over and buckling for exit and entry (so they don’t get worn as often as they should.) I know, I loved Ingunn’s stylings and that’s what made me think this bomber would be just as fab. Ingunn makes it look easy. I think it’s the shape that makes it challenging for me--it’s roomy and the proportions are throwing me off.

@Una: Thanks. Cathy warned me about the Hinge. I’m doubtful the M will fit if it is tight on her. I wonder it yours will loosen up a little with wear. I prefer loose for summer--not sure if I could stand to wear a tight layer. I can’t wait to see yours in action.

@pil, caro, Isabela, Shannon, Nicole D, Melllllis and Thistle: Thank you!

@Dana: Lol! Not really. Major procrastinator here. I work better under pressure. Thank you. The beauty of these cargos is that they have elasticated hems so they never come down once I pull them up. I totally agree about the casual bottoms with the bomber. Those work well--it’s the dresses that are problematic.

@Alicat: That is such a nice thing to say. Thank you so much! Davey says “Mrowr” right back at ya!

@Angie: LOL! Thank you. I’m so happy to inspire a fainting spell! My casual style is all thanks to you. I have learned so much here!

@rachylou: Thank you. Watch out for my watch cat! Glad you like the bomber.

@Aida: Aww, thanks, Aida! I am really digging the color these days. I look at my drab neutral winter sweaters and want to toss them all out. I don’t know what has come over me. Can’t wait to see the twinnie dress. I think I copied you and Shannon on this one. I thought the light vest and boots helped lighten it up for spring. To me, the dress looks fall but it’s too lightweight and hosiery sticks to it without a slip. Glad you like the blog outfit copy--I loved that look. I was fiddling around with DD’s clutch and then realized my everyday, year round bag is berry red! How perfect is that! I carry the same purse day in and day out and I forgot it was red! I could wear variations on this outfit several times a week, I think! I hear you on the bomber--thanks for chiming in!

@Parsley: Thank you! The sandals are Softt from a couple summers ago. Very comfortable and the only red shoes I own (besides a pair of boots.)

@Jjsloane: Thank you! That is such a nice thing to say. I’m tickled. DId you keep the floral bomber?

@Bj1111: Thank you. The tee in collage #2 is a Caslon that I picked up last summer. I’m sure they have something similar this year. I like the length and it’s fairly opaque for white. The white tee in collage 1 is Merona from last summer. The white button down is Kirkland. Denise pointed those out to me.

@Shevia: Thank you! You are too kind :)

Wow! Where to begin? I love your first and last outfit in #1 especially and can't pick my favorite in #2, they all look wonderful! The bomber appeals to me most with the black shorts and short dress - not sure if my eye is just confused by so much fab though.

Kelly your casual style is off the charts! Tons of eye candy here ^^ I like all the outfits in #1, so nice to see you in such an array of color. I am filing the dress/vest/boots combo there for next week to try with my twinnie blue zigzag dress. For Angie's combat formula, you knocked that one right out of the park. I like all iterations, but am especially keen on #2 (dress shirt/sandals) and #3 (tee/booties). That is NOT too much red I have been struggling with bomber/baseball jackets this season; the shoulder seam shape just feels awful on me. I am just about to give up on it, will be holding out for the black/white VC jacket to go on sale as a last ditch attempt on the trend. I agree with Angie on those, #1-3 look best but they all work; I think the slimmer/tapered bottoms offset the rounded shoulder shape nicely. Thanks for the tip about the green shorts, I must go hunt those down! I desperately need long slouchy shorts.

I bet you were the first one done with your assignments in class! I love what you did with Angie's formula. In pic #2, I like the outfits with the blouse and the t. I especially like the first one. I'm sure it's just the angle, but it looks a little more wrinkled and slouchy. I like the pants at full length better with the heels than the flats. And you are rocking' the rushed pant thing! I can't imagine keeping them up (for me.)

I love the looks with the bomber a lot! It seems to work with the casual bottoms best. I think the proportion is off with the dresses a little...maybe just a bit too long. Or maybe too much loose with loose? Either way... Keep:)!

I am trying to figure out how to style the floral bomber, so I'm going to use these as a guideline. I am not so sure of it with the dresses, but the pants look fab to me.

FYI, be prepared for the Hinge bomber to be tight in the shoulders. I got the S and it is a bit too tight in the arms (and no stretch!), but I don't think sizing up will help much. It's pulling on the tricep area when I flail. Am trying to decide if that's a dealbreaker.
I really love your interpretation of today's outfit blog post - are those red Munro sandals by chance? I actually like it with the red clutch, studs and all. I also like your casual options but agree that the bomber doesn't seem quite right for some reason. I do like bomber jackets but I'm not sure I like a patterned bomber. I know I love Ingun's classic black bomber she posted not long ago - and I'd like to find a taupe one for this coming fall, but haven't see what I'm looking for quite yet.

Do the colors in the bomber make it more challenging to match up with your dresses or is it the style/shape of the bomber that seems to be a problem?

Thanks, Brenda! It's taken my eyes a bit to adjust too but the bombers are definitely growing on me.

@Cathy: Thanks. I guess the Hinge will be out for me too. I ordered M thinking it would be plenty roomy. If it's too tight for you, there is no hope for me Oh well. I think my sheath is not fitted enough in the hips. I just looked like a giant block. Ugh. I was hoping to find a jacket that would be more dress friendly and not as conservative looking as a blazer. Still pondering that aspect of the bomber. It seemed so simple....

Love the combat pant looks! I like the tee ones the best too.

The bomber -- as styled, I like it best with pants. What didn't you like with the sheath styling? Seems like it should work well with a slim dress silhouette.

I got the two bombers (Bellatrix and Hinge) yesterday. The Hinge one was too tight around the shoulders/arm holes (size M). Still debating on the Bellatrix one. I like that it's lined and is surprisingly warm (not in a bad way) for such a light-weight piece. But like you, I'l like to wear it with dresses...

My eyes don't tend to like bomber jackets so I'll leave that to others. ;) But I love your casual looks. And great job with your interpretations of this morning's blog formula.
My eyes are running and I'm sneezing like crazy so it must be spring, right? Some recent WIW's--all very casual. Played around with Angie's blog post this morning because I love the simplicity of the look. I really feel like the tee is more my style but I can see how a button down can elevate the look for a casual event (other than grocery shopping.) Borrowed DD's clutch but not sure I'd carry it--the studs read a little too young for me, I think. It's also probably too much red with the shoes and the clutch. Last of all, the Bellatrix bomber. I was really hoping this would work with casual dresses--and I'm not sure. It looked horrible with my black sheath so I'll spare you the retinal scorching. Here are a few stylings that *I think* work. I'd love your opinion. I haven't received the Hinge bomber yet--stay tuned for that. Green bermudas are from Gap in case anyone is looking for long, slouchy shorts.
