Angie has a great glossary of fashion terms here:
http://youlookfab.com/fashion-glossary/

And there are some of Angie's favourite expressions discussed here:
http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....-angieisms

Our YLF specific acronyms have caused newcomers some confusion in the past and the idea has been put forward before.

It's not an acronym, but my favourite expression from the forum is still Ornella's little guys description of fishnet stockings: "trapped legs" :D.

MOTG (mom on the go)--perfect category for me! I want to try a lot more of the MOTG looks on Angie's list.

I like

BBQ - buy buy quick
RATE - rough around the edges
MDAL - mutton dressed as lamb

I think there were more, but these are very handy!

Definitely PPL - I realize until I joined YLF, all my pants were too short.

There are so many acronyms (SYC, NAS...) and words (bookending, grinning,....) specific to the YLF website that I'm wondering if we need a glossary or dictionary to explain them all. I know that it took me a while as a newcomer to understand the special language of YLF....and I still encounter unfamiliar acronyms! Just a thought. :-)

In the meantime, what's your favorite YLF term? Mine is "bookending".....the whole concept of matching your shoes or clothes to your hair or anchoring an outfit by repeating color was a new one for me!
