Let dry naturally then "scrunch out the crunch". Given the products available in Canada and my general cheapness, I have come up with a basic drugstore product regime using TresEmme Nourish and Replenish Coconut conditioner to wash and condition (I stock up at Shoppers when it regularly goes on sale for $5.99 instead of $11.99!), and Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Scrunching Gel for styling (there's also LA Looks Sport Gel at Walmart). My hair is fine &amp; more wavy than curly, but there's a lot of it (not thick but 'dense', I suppose). So what worked for coaxing out the curl pattern (required for that Look) was going sulphate, silicone &amp; paraben free with my shampoo, conditioner &amp; hold mousse (to avoid weighing down the curls). I also 'scrunch' my hair in the shower, 'plop' it into a cotton tshirt &amp; shake out the 'crunch' later to preserve the curl direction &amp; position.
