Funnily enough I try to have all my pieces be 'the one' because I like silhouette variation. But you need some staples and with hard to find items I do seem to duplicate rather often these days... Summer tops are hard for me to find: they need to be he right balance between casual &amp; breezy but also structured and covered enough. I don't like basic tanks or spagetti strap tops on me, and drapier tops are so often cut with huge armholes and/or in see-through fabrics - sexy on beach babes and festival goers but NOT my everyday kind of garment!<br /> Thanks Helena, I always get a bit excited when the color story of my gathered purchases works, even though that doesn't relate to how well they'll work irl.<br /> StyleFan, curious to see your finds for May!<br /> Chewyspagetti, do a round-up post for us! Although I've added a lot of green this and last year, in different shades, I think I still have a pretty cohesive color palette. Unfortunately May here was unseasonably cold, with a few outliers, and I've only got to wear the shirt once yet (and not the top nor the jumpsuit). I agree it's pretty wild to wear wool one day and a sundress the next.<br /> Cat2, I can imagine :). I kept looking after that for a cardigan with the updated criteria of being roomy and cozy (while not looking too dowdy). This GAP cardigan has a suspicious fabric blend but I’m willing to take the risk because it’s sooo soft and not at all itchy. The silhouette has a trendy shorter hem and wide tapered sleeves (super convenient over shirts). HEWI found!</p> <p>The summer top is my third duplicate in a different colorway. These tops are very light and airy and yet structured and modest enough for my needs. The lighter colors are a bit see-through I found but the darker ones are not, so when this one came on sale I pounced.</p> <p>The shirt I grabbed on impulse when shopping for DS. It’s the perfect ‘borrowed from the boys’ shirt that is secretly cut for a woman’s body. I love the heavier 100% cotton fabric, which drapes nicely and is the perfect weight for mild spring weather (yet to come ☹). Do I dare wear it IRL with a dramatic half tuck?</p> <p>What do you think? How was your month of May in terms of dressing and shopping? </p>
