Mo, I have seen hints of boho in you before ... which I think is a good thing. Summer casual is perfect for boho!

Oh wow, I thought this thread died a silent death yesterday lol. I am totally okay with the subtle tie dye skirt. Rae, funny that you have a similar print as you also aren't boho. I do think there is something to the idea of darker neutral countering any hippieness. I also think waterfront is more of a laid back, boho type atmosphere anyway. Not pencil skirt territory, ya know? :)

I'm not boho either and somehow have a tie dye hoodie in olive. I think tie dye looks less boho in neutrals. Would have loved the UO dress if it didn't expose bumpage, but I think the skirt will look like you with one of your simple tops to tone down the bohemian vibe.

I like this pattern more because it's less boho, (not that boho is bad at all! You mentioned that it wasn't your thing so it's in that context). The only way to know is to try the frock!
As discussed herehttp://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....maxi-skirt I was debating on maxi choices. The blue dress came. As I suspected, the unlined bottom was a no-go. It was a cute style, but the idea was for an easy, breezy dress, not wearing a slip or worrying about my panty lines or bathing suit bulges.
I know that many of you, and Angie, saw the subtle tie dye print on the skirt as boho, but I found it more reminiscent of clouds for some reason, and not really hippie at all. Maybe even a blurred geo print. Not to mention, the print detracts from possible lumps and bumps.
Funny thing, when I looked back at a few dresses and shirts I was contemplating recently, several of them were a blurry white/black tie dye. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-GU.....19d7bd5fbc
http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/mi.....ts-_-1_2_C
http://www.6pm.com/kensie-l-s-.....torm-multi My mind must have been there without me realizing it. Hmm.
Anyway, I know it's not a 10 for my style but it's a good solid 8 for what I need it for, and that's okay with me! This is honestly like a lakeside sweat pant alternative. ( I may have a very small amount of flowy, new age in me that might come out more 20 years from now, so this really isn't a huge style departure. )
