Last summer one of my favourite outfits was a flowy cotton maxi skirt (it had a soft A-line drape to it) with spanx underneath to pull everything in and prevent chafing on a hot day. I wore it with a fitted-but not skin tight- v neck t and in the evening their a lightweight denim jacket over it.
