I think you could do a less formal blazer-style jacket with it to dress it up a bit and a simple top or blouse. I'd go for a length that's just below the knee/above the calf to give the leg shape and length. Shape will depend on your body type. If you can wear dark denim to work, that would seem to be the most versatile.
