Define "stumbling" over the length -- did you actually get your feet caught up in it? It takes a while to learn to sweep the entire amount of fabric away from you when you start to stand up. One thing to beware is rolling over the fabric if you are sitting in a wheeled office chair. A lawyer friend did that in court and almost fell when she tried to stand. See pics. Question: would it be better/more practical to have it altered to calf-length? I did stumble over the long lenght sitting down when standing up. Otherwise the fit is fabulous on me wearing lightgrey/white leather Lacoste sneakers. What do you think? </p>
