Oh, good I was hoping a Nordie's gal would chime in! I think black now, too.Charcoal also looks somewhat sweatshirt-like to me in retrospect. Not as dressy. Now I either have to hope they still have them 2 months from now, or get WAY ahead of shopping schedule. Lol.

We don't have this exact skirt at the moment, but we have another Bobeau that seems like it would be thick enough for what you want. I'd vote black for you, I think. For some reason it seems more summery than charcoal, and it'd probably look better as a coverup.

It's an interesting idea and the skirt is really nice, but I find that my cover-ups get a bit stained over the season from sunscreen, chlorine etc, so make sure whatever you buy is very washable. (and even so it might get stained, sunscreen can be hard to get out)

I like the idea but I'm not sure of the fabric in this - it looks a little thin in the photo.

Hey Mo. I would go for the black because I just can't see the charcoal as a summer colour? But maybe I am just too square to imagine it

I am thinking ever ahead of my budget lol. I have a swimsuit and cover up of some kind slated for June's purchase. I am thinking instead of a gear type dress or sundress cover up (think Athleta), maybe this skirt worn as both a skirt and dress could do the job? Am I being crazy, or is this a smart double whammy for the use value? http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/bo.....tback=3520
Second question: for me, would you go for black or charcoal? Mostly I wear red, purple, olive, blue, and white and black, including my layer tank colors and some lounge tees. The pic is the colors in my hanging closet as of a few months ago. I'm thinking charcoal would allow me all the colors, plus black, whereas the black skirt I would likely not pair with more black. In other words, I'd wear this casually in addition to gear/swim capsule.

yay - the skirt can do all of the above
nay - get a capsule specific gear dress

Oh, and if any of you have seen this firsthand at Nordstrom, is it thick enough to wear over a swimsuit? You know, lumps and bumps and such . . .
