I was recently shopping for a pregnant friend, and found amazing deals at both Asos, and Kohls. Also another vote for Target. My other suggestion is to buy a few maxi dresses - the ones with a lot of volume to them anyway, not the fitted column shaped kind. You can wear a forgiving maxi dress well into the later months with various cardigans, cropped sweatshirts, swing jackets, etc over top.

Budget friendly: target, old navy

Sizing: yes you buy your normal size, they've built it to fit you while you're preggers - but of course you have to try on and size up/down as needed

Dressy: yes! They do make nicer stuff. I bought a beautiful sequin sheath and wore it with a black satin bolero while ~8 mo preg, so dressy while prego can definitely be done.

Good luck!

Congratulations! Recently the Wall Street Journal had an article called Baby Bump Without the Frump interview with Ivanka Trump. Basically it said to avoid maternity clothes and wear regular stretchy skirts and tops with length for as long as possible and wear a blazer for polish.

Congrats! I ended up putting on weight differently both pregnancies, but the main area was just in my abdomen. You might find you don't feel your legs are too thin any more!

Congratulations! You will have ready and willing babysitters.

I wore non-maternity clothing for a lot of my pregnancy. Banded tops were quite good, also long line tops, which just gradually got longer.

I found that a lot of maternity wear presumed that I would put on weight all over my body, rather than just belly and bust, therefore ended up being too big say across the shoulders or on the bottom. I did size down in a lot of maternity wear.

I found the H&M maternity line pretty good and also Asos.com has a good maternity range, and is very reasonably priced.
