I think the key is to play around with different pairings and and decide what works for you and whatever you happen to be wearing. For example, if an outfit is a little "funky" for me, a classic matching necklace and earring might make ME feel more comfortable. Or, OTOH, if my outfit is feeling a bit too boring, I'd switch it up a bit and make sure my accessories aren't "matchy matchy". Since I don't like my earrings/necklaces to look like they came from a set, when I'm not wearing the hoops I either mix the metals or pick something that has a similar metal but different style.</p> <p>Examples: Necklace with lots of hammered metal bits paired with classic pearl studs. Necklace with oiled bronze chains and colored natural stones paired with silver dangly earrings. Gold chain with gold charm paired with bronze pyramid stud earrings.
