I wear my bra more than once if I haven't been sweating, and once if I have. So, I have 2 or 3 pairs of underwear per bra. Some are a color match and some have a related print or color.
I have more underwear than bras because I was wearing patterned with my beige/nude bras as I prefered the look. But this summer I bought light background printed crops and I needed plain underwear to go with. And I bought 2 as I figured I might want to wear the crops more than once a week.
I also have more underwear because my older ones still fit even when my bra size changes a bit. And because I went to solid underwear to match my bras, but still like my patterned ones, even if they don't read as classy.

I also find that the bras I buy tend to have matching panties only in styles I don't wear, like bikini or boy shorts. I buy panties I do love and usually can find them in pretty matches. Lots of times, though, I end up matching the cami instead of the bra. Works for me!

Oh, and I do wish Nordstrom would stock panties matching the bras they sell. But perhaps there's not enough demand?

My very favorite combination, when it was available, was two bras (one with molded cups, one with sewn) and two each of three styles of underwear, all from the same line.
For example, if I were still to buy from this manufacturer
http://www.primadonna.eu/en/pr.....-you-black
I'd get two different bras, and six pairs of underwear in some combination of what they offer. (Sadly, this company's quality has plummeted over the last decade. Nor do they offer camisoles for most lines, as they used to.)

Right now, with my body unexpectedly having changed quite a bit, I'm extending minimalism to the underwear aspect of my wardrobe. So, just two bras, from different makers, and both go "well enough" with black underwear from previous sets. Not well enough for my personal preferences, if I'm honest, but well enough that it still looks intentional. Panties get washed after every wearing, bras sometimes get re-worn but often rinsed quickly using Soak or Eucalan.

I know someone who wears sets 1:1 and washes each together after every wearing. That works very well for her, and she has about 20 sets. (Which in turn works because her size remains consistent, by some feat.)

Does that answer your question?

YES. I have at least 4 panties that match one bra.

I try to buy 2-3 pair of undies for each bra, although frequent hand washing doesn't really make this necessary. I tend to wear a bra 2 times before washing.

That's basically what I do too Janet. For some reason the logistics of matching panties/bras has always seemed allusive to me although the solutions is pretty simple.

I only have a few matching sets, and I tend to not wear them very often. (It's hard enough finding bras that work for me and are my size, but all too often the matching panties are styles that don't work for me like thongs or boy briefs -- why????? Why not a nice simple lacy bikini???) I just treat them like all my other underwear and wash the panties after every use and only wash the bras after a few wears.

When I get a matching set, I buy one bra and 2-3 pairs of underwear.

For those of you who wear matching bras & panties - do you buy one bra and multiple pairs of panties that match? Or do you wash your bras after one use? I wash my bras after about 3-4 wears and obviously wash my panties after one wear. So in order to have matching sets I would need to buy multiple panties and one bra. Just wondering if that's the way you do it.
