I swear by CuddleDuds....they come in thermal, silk and a very soft yet warm cotton. They have a few different styles and are two piece outfits, so you can wear just one piece if you need to. The prices are very reasonable and are available at some dept stores....

Cabela's has them, but I don't think they have camis. The quality is good and the price reasonable.

For the bottom half, I ended up wearing some Flexees that were capri lenth. I bought them a size larger than 'normal' shape control, but they still had a gentle firming effect (that was not a bad thing for me) without adding any bulk. The slippery fabric helped my pants to slide over them nicely all day. They did help my legs feel warmer.

The Uniqlo Heattech line is available online, but only for a limited time. Last year, it was in October- and they only make one run, so when they run out they are gone. The shipping was directly from Japan, but it was really reasonable and very fast. I remember having ordered something from the US at the same time, and I paid less for the Uniqlo package, and it got here first!
I did a google search and found that Campmor.com has a good selection- including your cami.
I also highly recommend wool blend tights as a winter baselayer. I wear them under my pants all winter long.

Chewy has recommended Heatech by Uniglo to me...I was so confused by their Website though, I was unable to order! Maybe I should try again...

Wintersilks seems great - camis and sleeveless tops, and most intriguing - knee length and calf length silk "leggings" - might actually be useful in this odd fall weather. I don't want to have to strip off completely and multiple times a day...if the base layer is just a cami and knee length leggings, I can probably keep them on all day comfortably, but shed the top layers (sweater, scarf, etc.)

Thanks, everyone...any other sources, please list them here.

Heatech by Uniqlo - not truly thermal, but as good a base layer as silk IMHO and reasonably priced.

I don't know where they sell in the USA though.

Last year they sold online briefly between maybe Thanksgiving and Christmas and things shipped directly from overseas!!

I thought they were plenty long. . .

From Jenava I learned about WinterSilks.

It was 64 degrees in the house this morning. Brrrr!

I know the obvious places:

* REI
* Land's End
* LL Bean
* Sierra Trading Post

Can anyone think of other places? I would love to find some thermal camis as well, and not all of the places in the list above have camis.

Thanks!

PS I am long waisted, so if you know of any place that runs long (or runs short that I should avoid) do tell!
