I had this query a few months back and someone (sorry can't remember who you were) recommended tube mascaras. I've been using blinc mascara since http://www.blincinc.com/ and it's FANTASTIC. I have very sensitive eyes which are prone to watering caused by the bits of mascara flaking off which then causes the rest to run and end up in my eyes (vicious circle), however i have worn this daily for 12 hours and no flaking in my eyes or panda shadows and it comes right off with a warm wet facecloth so no harsh eye make up removers (i've already entered my hayfever season and touch wood am still using it!) NEVER before have i been able to wear mascara during hayfever seaon) x

Edit according to their website it's not tested on animals either x

I have! I have just bought too faced lash injection and love it! Believe me, I workout during luch hour and it doesn't smudge, even with the sweat:

http://www.toofaced.com/produc.....;cat_id=22

To take it off it's enough a regular make-up remover.

Chewy, thanks for the site...I try to keep my daily makeup simple just because I'm too lazy to wash it all off at the end of the day. I never thought to check how harmful ingredients were...and now I'm all curious. I'll definitely give it a look =)

that's impressive that the l'oreal is only a two! i use that website as well. i recently bought some physician's formula organic mascara (http://www.physiciansformula.c.....01062.html) but have not tried it yet. it's not listed yet in the database, so i'm not sure how it would compare.

Thanks for that recomendation Srujana.
I just found this neat website where you can look up make up products- they have scored them by how hazardous they are based on the ingredients. The waterproof version of the L'oreal double extends is only a 2 (on a scale of 0-10), so I will probably try that. I was looking at the eyelash glue verses mascara, but it just depends on what brands you use. Here is the website:

I am definitely looking for mascara that doesn't leave me with raccoon eyes so I would love to know if anyone else has had good experiences with the brand mentioned by Srujana. I stopped wearing mascara after a particularly bad raccoon eye experience at a professional conference, but I would love to start again if I could trust it.

I've used fake eyelashes for dance performances, but never for day-to-day wear...they're fun but annoying to put on (IMO)...and something about putting glue on your eyelids on a regular basis kinda turns me off a bit.

I've been using L'Oréal Double Extend Lash Extension Effect Mascara for almost 3 months and I kinda love it. Alot. I'm guilty of sleeping in my eye makeup pretty often and I've never woken up with raccoon eyes from this stuff. It has stayed put through tears (as long as you dab at your eyes, but don't rub away the tears) but it comes off easy as can be in the shower without makeup remover or soap or anything. You can feel the warm water sort of softening the mascara, and you just slide it off your lashes. My eyes aren't terribly sensitive, but I wear contacts and I've not had any irritability problems with this.

Give it a try, I'd like to know how it works out for you =)

I stopped wearing mascara completely for a while, because it bothered my eyes so much. I found one of the "natural" drugstore brands that didn't bother me, and I have been using that; but even the waterproof version leaves me with racoon eyes by the end of the day. I'm considering both the kind that makes a tube around your lash and fakes. Anyone have experience with either?
