Antje - I love that you used grok in a post. Got my dad a first edition Heinlein, "Time Enough for Love," for his birthday in October. Not "Stranger in a Strange Land" but still cool. " Can't wait to give it to him.

M&O is what I’d call a preppy store. J Crew is a preppy store too, but I much prefer the goods in J Crew because not everything is preppy (they used to be much more preppy). I’m tired. I sound verbose.

Off topic, since I can't comment on the quality of Martin and Osa pieces, but I was wondering what others thought of the store. I went there with Sihaya during our shopping trip last week, and while Sihaya found a really cute black skirt there, overall I really didn't know what to make of the store. I didn't "get" their concept, like what their style was, who their target shopper was etc. Personally I didn't think it was like J Crew at all; I find J Crew so much more colorful and trendy, and M&O didn't nearly have as many different styles and not as many fun and interesting and unique styles as J Crew. It was also a relatively big and bare store, with extremely fancy dressing rooms that felt super nice at first (more like a dressing room at a spa than a store) but had a bizzarre door mechanism that made us feel foolish since we couldn't figure out how to work it. The sales rep was friendly but way soft-spoken and solicitous and we had the feeling that they don't get a ton of customers. I came away with the feeling that this chain might not be in business next year... (but maybe it's just cause I got burned with my Nau purchase a few months ago... so know I do eye new stores much more suspiciously.) Anyway, I don't mean to badmouth the store at all and I'm happy to hear that others have made good purchases there; I just didn't really grog their offering and their brand.

That cardi is very pretty, Kyle. The price is very reasonable. I think Ana has some stuff from M + O. I was in that store briefly, looking for jeans. But all the jeans had whiskering, so I didn't browse much...but the things I did see looked pretty nice.

My BFF got a cashmere cardigan there a couple of months ago. She has worn it a lot and so far it still is in great condition.

This store reminds me a bit of J Crew. I’d say their sizing is a little smaller than J Crew. Quality is similar.

I've been looking for v-neck cardigans that aren't boxy and aren't long boyfriend style. There aren't that many out there. I'm thinking of getting this Martin+Osa cardigan in red. Does any one have experience with their sizing and quality?

http://www.martinandosa.com/we.....=1030_9378

Thanks!
